Welcome to Wattles' Wild Scientists' Club Website!
Our goal is to provide Wattles' students with the opportunity to explore science in a educational, hands-on atmosphere. Wattles School loves science and we wanted the opportunity to explore deeper into the world of science! We are so thrilled to have such a positive reaction from both the parents and the students for joining our club! This club will be full of exciting explorations where the students are able to be the scientists!
Updates, Updates, Read All About It!
-For our last week of science club, Week 9, we will be having a pizza party! The second grade scientists brought it to our attention about additional food and drink donations for the party, since we are only providing pizza for the kids. So, if you would like, we would gladly and happily accept additional donations for our party such as a box of juice boxes, capri sun, lemonade, or other things of that sort (no pop/cola, please!), as well as food items such as cookies, a bag of chips, or whatever! Please know, this is not mandatory, just an option brought up by your scientists! If you do choose to donate, please do not plan on providing for the entire group on your day! We have between 30 to 40 students on both club days!
-Since our pizza party begins right after school, you can just send your donation with your scientist at the beginning of the day and they can bring it with them later. We understand that it is difficult to be able to bring in something at 4:00pm during the work day! However, if you are dropping a donation off before the party and not sending it with your scientist to school, you can either come to the LGI room (where we meet) and someone will be there by 3:45pm. If you are coming before 3:45pm, please plan on bringing it to the main office.
Again, this is not mandatory or even expected, it is just an idea! If you want to just provide a drink for your own scientist, that would be fantastic, as well! We will be providing the pizza and water!
**Thank you so much again for your support! We could not have made this such a success without your help!-We will be tie-dying T-Shirts on Week 8 (May 14th & 15th)! Make sure your Wild Scientist has a plain white T-Shirt (no designs or logos, please) to tie-dye and decorate! If you would like to bring in the shirt early, we will gladly hold on to it! But please make sure your Wild Scientist has their shirt for their Week 8 meeting date! We will only be doing the tie-dying that week!-The newsletters are up on the website now! Check out the "Timeline" page and view each week's newsletter!
-Also, make sure to check out some of the awesome pictures we put up of our Wild Scientists doing the cool experiments!
